JUNGLIA Okinawa is a nature-immersive theme park located in northern Okinawa’s Yanbaru forest region, known for its jungle-inspired attractions, outdoor adventure rides, wildlife-themed experiences, and relaxation spaces that blend tropical scenery with modern entertainment.

Why is JUNGLIA Okinawa a must‑visit attraction?

JUNGLIA Okinawa is a large nature-based theme park set in the Yanbaru forest region of northern Okinawa, designed around immersive outdoor adventures, jungle landscapes, and eco-inspired attractions that combine thrill rides with nature experiences and relaxation zones.

From opening hours in the morning, visitors move through a mix of high-energy attractions like Dinosaur Safari and Buggy Voltage, alongside interactive experiences such as Finding Dinosaurs and character-led shows like Yanbaru Friends. The park is structured to let guests shift naturally between adventure, scenic viewpoints, and slower nature-based activities throughout the day.

One of its standout features is the combination of adventure and wellness in a single destination. Alongside rides and shows, visitors can access Spa JUNGLIA, which offers hot spring-style baths and infinity-style pools overlooking the surrounding forest landscape, making it one of the few theme park experiences in Okinawa that blends thrill and relaxation in the same visit.

Unlike traditional indoor theme parks, JUNGLIA is built around open-air exploration, meaning the experience changes with time of day—mornings are typically used for major attractions with shorter queues, afternoons for exploration and dining, and evenings for shows and relaxation depending on operating schedules. This makes it a full-day destination for most visitors planning to experience both its adventure and nature elements.

Brief history of JUNGLIA Okinawa

JUNGLIA Okinawa is a large-scale nature-immersive theme park being developed in the Yanbaru forest region of northern Okinawa as part of a long-term effort to create a new kind of tourism destination that combines nature, culture, and entertainment.

The project is built around the concept of “Power Vacance!!”, focusing on delivering an outdoor experience that highlights Okinawa’s natural environment and local culture through a mix of attractions, dining, and family-friendly activities, all within a forest setting that was previously a golf course site.

The development has been led by Japanese marketing company Katana Inc., under CEO Takeshi Morioka, and has taken shape over several years with support from local stakeholders and regional initiatives aimed at boosting tourism and economic activity in northern Okinawa.

Planned as a large destination park spanning around 60 hectares, JUNGLIA includes adventure attractions, interactive experiences, dining spaces, retail areas, and wellness facilities, designed to offer a full-day nature-based experience.

Today, JUNGLIA Okinawa is positioned as a new-generation theme park concept in Japan, combining outdoor adventure with sustainability-focused development and regional collaboration in the Yanbaru area.
